Dulles, VA – February 09, 2016 – Technica Corporation, a leader in systems engineering, software development, information assurance and product solutions for the Federal Government, announced today that it has exceeded the $100M mark for revenue in fiscal year 2015 with over 160 billable engineers supporting federal customers. As a result, the company is restructuring to bring a greater level of service to its customers. When it was founded 25 years ago, Technica was primarily a regionally focused provider of senior and mid-level IT engineering services, commercialized IT software, and IT product solutions for commercial enterprises and the government. Its main customer was the United States Secret Service (USSS), Department of Defense (DoD), and in particular the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Since that time the business has grown to serve many more agencies including the FBI, Air Force, NASA, NOAA and PTO on contracts such as AF NETCENTS-2 NetOps SB, DHS CDM CMaaS, and NASA SEWP V. The combined development of enterprise services and integrated technology sales has allowed the company to provide system/software engineering, cloud computing, cyber defense, and enterprise intelligence solutions on a much wider geographic scale. To keep pace with this growth over the next few years, and increase systems and support services capabilities, Technica is restructuring around higher focused operating units and expanding senior staff.
In January, Pauline Healy joined Technica, taking over the business development role for the company’s Enterprise Services division. As Vice President of Business Development, Ms. Healy will be responsible for all business development and marketing for the Technica Enterprise Services division. Ms. Healy has held senior executive and business development management positions at a variety of well-established government contracting companies including Dynamics Research Corporation (acquired by Engility), QinetiQ North America, and Apptis. Most recently she served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Centuria, and the Vice President, Business Development for Dovel Technologies. Ms. Healy has been involved with the U.S. Air Force her entire career, first starting as an acquisition officer for the government then rising through the ranks in various business and problem solving roles. Ms. Healy has an MBA from Western New England University, and is certified Level III in Acquisition Management. In addition, she is actively engaged in Professional Services Council, Washington Exec, and the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia.
For the company’s Integrated Technologies division, Mark O’Donnell will now be solely focused on maintaining the rapid growth of this operating unit. Previously, Mr. O’Donnell’s responsibilities included business development for both divisions. With the company’s development, new contracts, and the differing nature of the missions of the two divisions, having fully dedicated and focused executive management is important to maintain a steady pipeline and scale at double-digit growth. As Senior Vice President, Integrated Technologies, Mr. O’Donnell will expand the product technology integration business for Technica while supporting more manufacturer-specific services for its vendor partners such as Juniper Networks, Symantec, Pulse Secure and Riverbed. He is also in charge of expanding the company’s service partner network in order to support larger scale multi-vendor deployments. In addition, he will help Technica focus its efforts on larger scale solutions-based programs and help enhance its vendor, customer, and sales support systems so it may better serve its customers globally.
“We have reached the point in our company’s development and strategic planning where the leadership of both our enterprise services and integrated technologies divisions require the attention and resources of more than one person,” said Technica Chief Operating Officer, John Humphrey. “Mark will now be able to focus his energies and expertise on our product team and lead us in our role as a true systems integrator and solutions provider. In addition, we are very excited to have Pauline join our leadership team and play a critical role with strategic planning for our company’s growth as well as enhancing our partner and customer relationships. Pauline’s experience will be invaluable to Technica as we pursue larger and more complex opportunities supporting our Air Force, DISA, law enforcement, homeland security, and other DoD customers. Together, Mark and Pauline’s vast knowledge of the federal market space will help us develop solutions offerings to solve our customer’s most difficult challenges.”
