Dulles, VA – June 6, 2011 – Technica Corporation, a leader in Network Management, Network Defense, Global Information Grid (GIG) Enterprise Management, and Information Assurance (IA) for the Federal Government, announced today that it has been awarded a new GSA Task Order. The contract award for Solution Engineering and Implementation Management Support for Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Computing Services Directorate (CSD) is valued at approximately $32 million for the base year with all four option periods. The contract contains a provision for an increase in the funding ceiling of 30% annually for surge support which, if exercised, could increase the value of the award by $9.6 million, bringing the potential value of the contract award to more than $41 million over five years.
“We are pleased to have this opportunity to continue to support DISA on their important mission,” said President and Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Collado. “We have been supporting DISA CSD since 2003 and this award will ensure a continuity of operations for ongoing projects that are critical to CSD’s support of its global customers.”
This contract encompasses systems engineering and implementation management support services for DISA CSD Customer Management Executive (CME). Technica will continue to provide knowledgeable resources experienced in supporting CSD customers and will leverage that experience by working with multiple contractors to ensure CSD and its customers continue to benefit from a diverse contractor environment.
In addition, Technica will supply cleared subject matter experts (SMEs) who will act as on-demand surge resources to meet the growing needs of CSD customers and projects.
