Dulles, VA – September 4, 2012 – Technica Corporation, a leader in Systems Engineering, Software Development, Information Assurance and Product Solutions for the Federal Government, announced today that it is one of the awardees of a significant new General Services Administration Blanket Purchase Agreement (GSA BPA) for Information Assurance (IA) Security Engineering Support for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ). The primary focus of this Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) BPA is to provide IA and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), across the entire DOJ. This will help them interface with other law enforcement agencies around the nation in a more secure and efficient manner. Each BPA awarded has a ceiling value of $95 million over a five-year period.
“This vehicle will be an ideal way for our customers to quickly and easily access a number of unique and innovative security solutions specifically tailored to FBI and DOJ” said Miguel Collado, president and chief executive officer of Technica. “In addition, we put together a team of companies that have complementary technical depth and breadth in Information Assurance and Cross Domain Solutions to better serve our customers.”
In order to assist in this important mission, Technica has assembled a team renowned for their expertise in CDS, IA and Cyber Security including Boeing Information Solutions (IS), LGS Innovations, Qbase, SafeNet, Inc. and Vigilant Services Corporation. Each member of the team provides engineering resources and IA subject matter experts (SMEs) who provide domain expertise, capability, and resources in technology areas under which Task Orders (TOs) may be issued during the life of the FBI Security Engineering Support BPA. This specialized group has expertise in CDS, secure remote access, secure wireless technologies and IA through application of Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) controls. The Technica Team also maintains IA-related capabilities such as cryptography and secure software development as well as programmatic support capabilities such as Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V). Augmenting security engineering support services with industry research, white paper development, and user/operator training helps ensure that the FBI maintains a strong knowledge base in its currently deployed solutions and in emerging and innovative IA and CDS technology.
