Dulles, VA – June 22, 2011 – Technica Corporation, a leader in Network Management, Network Defense, Global Information Grid (GIG) Enterprise Management, and Information Assurance (IA) for the Federal Government, announced today that it has won a new FBI IT Supplies and Support Services (FBI IT Triple S) Task Order (STOR). The single award task order contract for Engineering Test Program (ETP) Support for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Information Technology Branch (ITB) is valued at approximately $18 million for the base year with four option periods. The STOR also exemplifies the desired success of the relatively new FBI IT Triple S contract which strives to process dozens of task orders with an efficient and streamlined acquisition schedule. This task order contract was executed two weeks after proposal submissions and was the largest to date measured in both dollars and staffing level.
Technica will provide systems engineering, network engineering, test and evaluation, telecommunications engineering, requirements analysis, system and network design, systems security support, documentation support, and program management support for the Operations Test and Evaluation Facility (OTEF), Secure Voice Switched Network (SVSN) and SIPRNet to the Desktop (STTD) programs.
“We are pleased and proud to have this opportunity and look forward to continuing our support to the FBI, its mission and its global customers,” said Miguel Collado, President and Chief Executive Officer of Technica.
The Engineering Test Program, an essential component to maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure, serves to significantly reduce risks associated with changing operational systems by first testing engineering solutions in a controlled environment. Technica will minimize transition risks by leveraging staff resources familiar with the customer’s mission, growing needs, systems, services and processes.
